“When I got engaged and my fiance and I were looking to find someone to do the photography for our wedding, being someone who doesn't particularly like "posed" photos, I found the work by a lot of photographers was not really along the lines of what I knew I wanted my photos to look like - I tend to like candid photos. I knew I would need a few photos with family that were staged, but overall I wanted my wedding photos to be more candid, showing our guests having fun, or an intimate moment caught between my husband and I.   I immediately thought to ask Joanna, who has that creative touch I was looking for.  

We had our first meeting many months before my wedding; Joanna came to my house to show me some of the more recent work she had done for another friend's wedding and other various photography to give me a good sense of how she works with her subjects. Joanna went though some of the raw photos and then showed me those photos edited and immediately I was sold. We had a meeting following that where we worked out the day's schedule and every step of the way Joanna was very attentive to detail, planning for things I hadn't even thought of. I had a great sense of relief that we were in very good hands.

On the day of our wedding, Joanna was amazing!! She had kept saying to me that I wouldn't even know she was there, and she would ensure everything went off without a hitch and she absolutely did. When you're a bride, the day is chaotic.. but Joanna made sure to make the time spent taking photos with the bridal party a really fun experience, and she captured all of the most beautiful moments of our day. When I look at the photos from our wedding day, I feel as though I'm able to relive it all over again, and from many different perspectives... "I had the pleasure of having Joanna photograph our June 2015 wedding at The Old Mill in Toronto. From the first meeting we had to discuss the wedding Joanna was an absolute dream to work with. She would send me links with ideas for fun wedding party shots and constantly kept up a flow of creative and imaginative ideas for the big day.

We did a walk through at the venue a few weeks before the wedding and it was amazing watching Joanna's energy as she became inspired by all of the funphoto op spots. It was contagious and by the end of the meeting my husband and I were more excited than ever for the wedding day to come.

On the morning of the wedding Joanna showed up bright and early to capture every single step involved before we said "I do".
